Personal Financial Planning

This course equips students – especially young professionals and future household decision makers – with essential tools and frameworks to manage personal finances effectively. Core topics include financial goal setting, budgeting techniques, saving strategies, debt and credit management, insurance fundamentals, investment principles, and retirement planning. Emphasizing real life application, the course draws from the textbook Perencanaan Keuangan (Personal Financial Planning) and prepares learners to build financial security, make informed decisions, and craft long term financial plans tailored to their life stages.
Corporate Financial Management
This course focuses on short-term financial decision-making within firms. Students learn how to analyse and interpret financial statements, assess financial health using ratio analysis, and apply tools such as breakeven analysis, cash budgeting, and pro forma projections. Key topics include working capital management, cash and liquidity control, receivables and inventory management, short-term financing, and the time value of money. The course emphasizes practical applications to help students develop the skills needed to manage a company’s day-to-day financial operations effectively. The course is based on the instructor’s textbooks Manajemen Keuangan (Financial Management) and Manajemen Keuangan Perusahaan (Corporate Financial Management), which offer structured guidance tailored to the Indonesian business environment.

Banking and Financial Institutions
This course explores the structure, roles, and functions of banks and non-bank financial institutions within the financial system. Students examine topics such as central banking, deposit and lending management, credit instruments, fee-based banking services, and risk management. The course also introduces institutions like insurance companies, leasing firms, pension funds, cooperatives, and pawnshops, highlighting their roles in financial intermediation and economic development. By understanding how these institutions operate, students are better equipped to utilize financial services effectively and appreciate their broader impact on the economy.
